Refund policy
We know that sometimes things don’t go as planned, so we’ve made our return process as simple and fair as possible. If you have any questions, please contact our team directly.
1. Can I return a part?
Yes, you can return most parts. However, you must contact us first to get a return authorization number. Please keep in mind that some specific or special order items cannot be returned, and a 10% restocking fee will be charged on all new, unused merchandise. (Used, damaged, or dirty merchandise may not be returned or exchanged for credit.)
2. Can I exchange a part?
In most cases, yes! If you need a different part, just contact us and we will help you get the right item for your project. However, a 10% restocking fee will be charged.
3. How do I return or exchange an item?
First, contact us to get your return goods authorization (RGA) number. Once you have that, pack the item securely in its original packaging. We strongly recommend that you buy shipping insurance when you mail it back. We cannot offer a refund or exchange if the part is lost or damaged before it reaches us.
4. What if you sent me the wrong part?
We are very sorry if we made a mistake! If we sent you the wrong item, please contact us right away. Claims for shortages, damaged or incorrect items must be made within seven (7) business days from date of delivery. We will work with you to get the correct part to you as soon as possible.
5. What if I ordered the wrong part?
It happens to the best of us. You can return the part, but you will need a return authorization number first. To qualify for a return, the part must be in its original, brand-new, unused condition. Additionally, a 10% restocking fee will be charged on all new, unused merchandise. (Used, damaged, or dirty merchandise may not be returned or exchanged for credit.)
6. How long do I have to return or exchange a part?
You have 30 days from the date of purchase to start a return or exchange.
7. Can I return a part for any reason?
Yes. As long as your return meets our return rules, we are happy to help you out. However, a 10% restocking fee will be charged for the return.
8. Can I exchange a part for any reason?
Yes, the same rules apply. If you need something else, we want to help you find the right fit for your vehicle, but a 10% restocking fee will be charged.
9. Are there certain parts I can’t return?
Yes. We cannot accept returns on parts that have been used or installed. We also cannot accept returns on certain special order or custom parts.
10. Do I have to pay any restocking fees?
Yes. We charge a 10% restocking fee for returned or exchanged items.
11. Do I have to pay for return shipping?
Yes, customers are responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to Scott Performance Wire. We also recommend you insure and/or track your return shipment for peace of mind.
12. How long do returns take to process? And when will I receive my refund?
Once your return arrives at our warehouse and is approved, it takes our team 5 to 10 business days to process it and for the refund to appear on your statement.
13. What if the part is defective or damaged?
If a part is broken or doesn't work right, please contact us. Claims for shortages, damaged or incorrect items must be made within seven (7) business days from date of delivery. We will work with you toward a solution.
14. What if my return never arrives?
If your return is lost in the mail, we cannot issue a refund. This is why we recommend buying insurance and/or tracking when you ship items back to us.
15. What if someone else purchased the part for me?
We can only issue refunds to the original form of payment or the person who originally bought the item. However, if you received the item as a gift, we will work with you to exchange it for a different part.
16. What if I need to make a warranty claim?
