How To Modify Your Blaster II Coil

Over the past few years we have run into issues with coils using the "Blaster II" tower working coil wires off, leading to intermittent misfires or engine stalling.

This problem stems from the tower being too tall to fit adequately into the boot. Fixing it is extremely simple and only take a few minutes. Take your coil, measure off approximately 0.300" from the top edge of the tower and make a mark:

Cut along that mark, then take some sandpaper and smooth it out until you're happy with the look. Reinstall the coil and never have to worry about the coil wire coming loose again!
